Description
Welcome to Cayo Costa State Park, where you can experience the untouched beauty of Florida's Charlotte Harbor Estuary.

With its unspoiled Gulf Coast island, visitors can explore wind-shaped trees, dunes, and beaches that evoke a sense of freedom.

Cayo Costa Island is a haven for adventurers, accessible only by boat or kayak, and boasting 9 miles of undeveloped shoreline for activities such as swimming, snorkeling, shelling, fishing, bird-watching, and exploration.

The island's interior is also home to several walking and bicycling trails.

While there, visitors can spot numerous shorebirds and marine animals like manatees, porpoises, and sea turtles offshore.

To make the most of your experience, campsites and cabins are available for overnight stays, and a ferry service runs to the island from several mainland locations.

However, visitors should note that camping is only permitted in designated sites within the campground on Cayo Costa.
