Our dining experience began with me having the Blueberry Limoncello Sangria, a cocktail that was bursting with flavor thanks to its blend of sparkling wine, blueberry puree, limoncello, and club soda. My wife had a simple glass of water to "keep her palate fresh for each new taste." To start, we ordered the Sicilian Scallop Costini - a dish that quickly became a new favorite. This baked crostini was topped with a roasted garlic aioli, sauteed scallops, and heirloom cherry tomatoes in a garlic lemon butter sauce that was simply divine. We also couldn't resist trying their specialty meatballs, "Mama's Meatballs," which were served with garlic rolls and proved to be just as delicious as advertised.
For my entrees, we opted for the Linguine & Clams and the Tortellini Maria. The Linguine & Clams featured middle-neck clams and chopped clam meat sauteed in a white wine garlic clam sauce, with heirloom cherry tomatoes and basil tossed with linguine pasta and finished with fresh lemon zest. The Tortellini Maria, on the other hand, was a tri-colored cheese filled tortellini tossed in a pesto cream sauce with grilled chicken and jumbo shrimp, finished with a balsamic glaze drizzle. Both dishes were simply amazing.
To accompany my meal, we enjoyed a bottle of F. Coppola Claret, a delicious Cabernet red blend that perfectly complemented the flavors of our entrees. And of course, no meal is complete without dessert, so we shared and indulged in the Cheesecake Tiramisu - a decadent combination of Amaretto and Espresso-soaked lady fingers layered with cheesecake filling and topped with cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
Overall, our dining experience at The Saucy Meatball was truly unforgettable. The full menu of other dishes including pizza, calzones, and strombolis only made us more eager to return. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the food and the service provided by the phenomenal waitress. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere, The Saucy Meatball is the place to be. Our next stop we will try the stuffed salmon!
